RESTAURANT ASSOCIATES TAKES LINCOLN CENTER’S
ARPEGGIO FOOD & WINE OUTDOORS
Dining Al Fresco, New Signature “Picnic To Go”
Launched to Coincide with Summer Programming, New Green Spaces
New York, NY, May 26, 2010 – Restaurant Associates will
open Arpeggio Outdoors today, May 26, 5:00 p.m., at
Lincoln Center Plaza—just in time for the unveiling of the
Plaza’s new green spaces and the start of summer performing arts programming. The popular Avery Fisher Hall restaurant
will offer al fresco dining featuring a “farm to table” inspired
summer seasonal menu and the new “Picnic To Go”
created by Chef Stephen Cardello. Arpeggio Outdoors will be located on the Plaza, adjacent to Arpeggio Food & Wine in Avery Fisher Hall, on Columbus Avenue and 64th Street, and
will be open through July 30, Tuesday –Friday, 5 p.m. to
8 p.m. and Saturday, 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Guests will enjoy the season’s bounties with Heirloom Tomato Gazpacho, Green Market Chopped Salad, Organic Watermelon Salad with Feta Cheese & Mint Vinaigrette, and lively, fresh summer fruit drinks, wines and cocktails such as Strawberry Lemonade, Rhubarb Coolers and Peach Mojitos.
Rounding out the menu are fresh renditions of summer favorites, such as Maine Lobster Rolls, Rock Shrimp Cocktail with Lemon Cucumber, the Arpeggio Burger (Angus Beef signature grind), crispy Soft Shell Crabs with Quinoa Olive Tomato Salad, and summer ripe melons and berries, gelato and sorbetti.
To encourage dining outside at Lincoln Center and throughout the neighborhood, Arpeggio Outdoors will feature a “Picnic To Go,” which will include a choice of sandwich or salad (such as Grilled Chicken Breast or a Mezze Salad of Marinated Eggplant) with an Heirloom Tomato Salad, Tumbador Artisanal Dark Chocolate Toffee Crisp and San Pellegrino Water. Guests may also choose an Artisanal Cheese or Charcuterie Board “Picnic.”
“We pride ourselves on bringing only the very best and
tastiest ingredients from outdoors to Lincoln Center outdoors,” said Chef Cardello, a Huntington resident, who selects produce from the finest Long Island farms, including Satur’s organic
lettuces and Rottkamp’s sweet corn. As the first Green
Restaurant Association certified performing arts restaurant, Arpeggio Outdoors only serves sustainable seafood.
“Arpeggio Outdoors and our ‘Picnics To Go’ will add a fresh and casual dining element to Lincoln Center’s renowned summer programs, from the Mostly Mozart Festival to Midsummer Night Swing,” said Andrew Ziobro, Restaurant Associates’ Senior VP of Operations. “We hope everyone will come out and enjoy.”
